The Bayview Vision Steering Group is inviting South Whidbey residents, business owners and employees to an online community information meeting about future workforce housing in Bayview. We are creating a master plan for intentional development that will maximize community benefit while preserving South Whidbey’s rural landscape.

This meeting will give you the opportunity to hear about our initial thinking, ask questions and give input. We will follow this up with a second meeting in the Fall with more detail about how we might proceed with potential housing developers. Our goal is to provide more predictable and sustainable development in the Bayview area over the next 20 years that builds and enhances the community, rather than a piecemeal approach.

Our team of architects, engineers, and housing development professionals will share their thoughts on the potential sites, community housing needs and ways to strengthen Bayview’s sense of place. They’ll also talk about what’s feasible and the potential trade-offs around housing types, rent levels and time-to-completion around this first development and into the future.
