Cut Broom in Bloom

Sponsored by the St. Hubert Catholic Church Green Team and Goosefoot, Joanne Sales executive director of BroomBusters will speak on how their organization has built a community of over 600 volunteers who gather each spring to contain and eradicate scotch broom. Sales will also provide instructions for an easier and more effective method of eradicating this dangerous invasive species.

This event is the official kick-off of a collaborative effort between the Green Team and Goosefoot to educate and organize community work parties for scotch broom eradication in April as part of Whidbey Earth & Ocean Month.
