Our staff and board worked hard in 2022 to lay a strong foundation for big changes and new programs in the new year ahead!
As we prepare to say goodbye to Sandy Whiting after a decade of leading Goosefoot, and look ahead to our new Executive Director Elise Miller, we reflect on a year of community, partnership, and new programs.
In particular, our purchase of two parcels in downtown Langley—thanks to the support of owners Callie and JR Fulton and two anonymous donors—spurred on the formation of the Goosefoot Housing Group. This new affordable housing entity will establish a model of financing, development, management, and partnerships that can be used to expand housing throughout Island County.
Hub Gallery art shows continued to play an important role in the creative life of South Whidbey, providing established and emerging artists the chance to show and sell their work. And the community continued enjoy the opportunity to both socialize and learn at our Street Dances, Young Professionals Week, Business Workshops, and more!
